Christmas at Holywild '09

We visited Holywild Animal Park over the holidays. We highly recommend going and taking several loaves of bread to feed the animals. The picture don't do this place justice. There are a ton of christmas lights at the beginning, then you drive your vehicle through a huge field of deer, ostrich, buffalo, zebra and long horned steer. Feeding them all as they meander through hundreds of eager people. At the end you can walk through a petting zoo, ride ponies, feed the pigs, camels, goats,Halstein cattle, llamas and visit Santa! Good idea to go in a minivan(and open the doors) or if it's warm enough in the back of a truck. It was a great time-we will go back every year!
Luke's first pony ride on Little Mary.
Feeding a pigme goat.
Stinky camel.
Just a few of the deer in the big field checking out the available snacks from car to car.
Petting the friendly zebra.
Well hello! This guy,a longhorned steer, made himself welcome and stuck his big ole' snout right in our face! Ken was worried he was going to damage the new truck.
Yep,that's a buffalo!
