Luke is 7 weeks old

A lot has happened since Luke was born. We have had lots of friends and family stop by to visit. He has made a few trips downtown, to church, and the doctor's office. He was invited to his first birthday party, been baptized, and has started on rice cereal (Which means YES WE ARE GETTING TO SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT). Sorry it has been a while since the last entry. We now know what people meant by " wait till you have a baby". We have many pictures to sort through. Here are a few for you to drool over for now.

Luke had jaundice the first few weeks and had to be put on a Billy Blanket. This gave us the great picture of our little "Glow Worm".

It also helped for him to tan at a early age, so he sprawled out in our back yard already letting us know " yes I own this place".

Yes he also is practicing his winner pose or it wasn't me officer. TIME WILL ONLY TELL.

I really didn't like the bath too much at first because I got cold, but the frog washcloth kept me toasty and mommy said it help keep my little firehose from spraying everything!

All the furry babies have accepted Luke as a new companion. Charlie has to check him out every time he is around Luke. Pooter is our guard kitty whether it be the bedroom door where Luke is sleeping or laying under his vibrating chair. He(Pooter)seems to have accepted the fact that Luke is here to stay. Thank goodness because there is no way Stacey would have let me get rid of a cat. I would have had to build him his own house. Then it was pointed out to me that there is a Man Villa in the back yard for me, So what if it does not have any electric or heat. That would be my problem.

Luke and I were baptized on Sunday October 26 at Friendship Presbyterian Church. We were really surprised at how well he did since he really hates baths. When Robert put the water on Luke's head all he did was make an ugly face and went right back to sleep. We were blessed with a great day for our family.

Luke is HERE!

The Happy Mommy to be!!!!
Daddy and son Grand mom Penland and Luke
Mother and Daughter
Ken lends a hand
Well he has graced this world. It all started at 3:30 am and yes I have a great wife. She did not wake me until 6:05 am. The we started the get ready phase. We're timing the contractions getting showered and dressed. Of course Stacey thinks about work. We need to drop off papers to the office and keys. I'm like are you serious. So on the way to the hospital logic prevailed. We did not stop off. LOL! We came right in and started the check in and I told them her contractions were 4 minutes apart. They took her back and she was already 5 cm. So off we go. Right now I'm still fine and so is Stacey. They take us up and we get started with all the paper work, the DRUGS and all the staff. Patti was tremendous help as we helped with the coaching. Now the emotion kicks in for me. It is absolutely amazing the emotion that rushes over you in a very short amount of time. Yes I cried. Birth is an amazing gift from God. We are truly blessed with Luke. Please continue to pray for us. We love you all.

He's Growing

As you can see all is well. We did not get a full front veiw of Luke's face this time. He was all balled up on one side of Stacey's tummy. He is growing at a good rate. The doc says all is normal. Well except his parents. I feel for the boy already having to put up with parents like us. Well I hope everyone prays from him. We will LOL. We look forward to see everyone soon.

It's a boy!!!!

That's right everyone we are having a boy. Here are a few shot of our little one on the way. The doctor says every thing looks good. We'll go back for the 3D ultrasound in 4 weeks. He just wants to make sure all is well. The spine formed well and all the facial features as you see are good. Everything is as it should be at this stage of the game. Yes HE IS A FLASHER LOL. We look forward to hearing from everyone in the weeks and months to come. I (Ken) need all the advice I can get , It is now getting more real to me by the day. Oh yeah I am begining to wonder if i'll make a good father. The fears are starting for me now.

the great expectation

Hello everyone. Stacey and I found out we were expecting our first baby on Monday January 21. The first trimester was a good one for us aside from a little flu and a little lip from ME LOL, we got through it with out any morning sickness. She has not threatened to kill me yet. I here it comes later. LOL. We have had two ultra sounds to check for the due date and to hear the heart beat. September 18Th is the expected arrival of our little one. HE / SHE has a strong healthy heart beat.
The first picture as you can see is just a peanut in the middle of the picture. It is hard to believe there is already a heart beat.
